The Cake store has brought brilliant home made cakes to the bustling town of Swindon.
Set in the quintessentially English county of
Wiltshire, Swindon enjoys a strong connection with the area’s rich history and
heritage from Roman to Norman and Saxon times, as the headquarters of both the
National Trust and The English Heritage Archive. With a population of 182,441, this large town
is twice the size of neighbouring Bath and certainly lacks nothing when it
comes to culture and entertainment.
We were impressed by the seamless blend of
industry and culture on display in this lively town, and we felt drawn to get
in on the action!
Swindon boasts a variety of fascinating museums
including two railway museums;
STEAM – Museum of the Great Western Railway , which celebrates the
story of the men and women who built, operated and travelled on the Great
Western Railway and the
Railway Village Museum. The history of computers is explored at the Museum
of Computing,
the first computer museum in the UK, where kids are
guaranteed to get a giggle out of watching parents rediscover computers and
games from their childhood! Anyone for a
game of Alien Chase?
And with a full programme of events including
the annual
Swindon Festival of Literature, not to mention retail therapy
galore at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet, there is no doubt that it’s all
happening in this town! But if like us
you believe that every busy morning ends at cupcake o’clock, then a little
well-deserved indulgence will be, literally, right up your street! The Cake Store are thrilled to roll
out our production line of colourful creative cakes to this fabulous town which
is already buzzing with activity, drive and flare!
