The Cake Store bring brilliant home made cakes to Basildon in Essex. This popular commuter town, ideally situated between London and Southend-on-Sea, enjoys the best of both worlds with industry and nature both close at hand. Indeed, in many ways it is the perfect family friendly town, something we at The Cake Store appreciate as a bakers with family firmly at its heart. Alongside the many nature reserves to be found at  Langdon Visitor Centre, Wat Tyler Country Park and Noak Bridge Nature Reserve to name a few, Basildon also calls itself home to an impressive list of companies such as Ford, Gordon's Gin, Yardley of London and, most recently, Costa Coffee, which have put industry firmly at the heart of this exciting town and Basildon firmly on the map!
As a young and vibrant town born in 1948, Basildon is always looking to the future and moving with the times, which is something that we at The Cake store can really relate to. As a family business of 60 years, we are just a few years the younger brother of Basildon and from our beginnings as a traditional family bakery, we too have grown and evolved, marrying traditional baking methods with modern technology to bring you freshly baked cakes online and delivered to your door in only 2 days. With this common ground in mind, it seemed only right to kit out our gingerbread baker in overalls and hard hat and roll out our production line of colourful creative cakes to the people of Basildon. At The Cake Store we believe that cake is for life, not just for birthdays!
