You may be wondering exactly what has been going on at The Cake Store over the past three months of lock down!

Well sadly our 40 year family business was hit very, very hard as all parties and cake sales stopped, overnight. This was back in late March and like many other businesses, there was no way out and we had to close.
Our two online websites, The Cake Store, that sold elaborate and bespoke cakes all over London, and The Brilliant Bakers, that sold party cakes nationwide, stopped selling cakes online.

The family owners, Kevin and Tim are pleased to announce that we are back in business and have decided to merge The Brilliant Bakers into The Cake Store and become one exceptional website selling birthday cakes, cupcakes and corporate cakes to the whole UK.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their kindness and patience during this difficult time.

Let’s take a minute to take sports day back to what it should all be about…. kids wobbling boiled eggs on spoons, jumping in jute sacks, parents with smiley beaming faces, bare-footed awkwardly stumbling down towards the finish line, with friendly picnics on the grass, homemade sandwiches and flasks of tea and CAKE.

We require at least 2 working days’ notice in order to ensure the timely delivery of Easter cakes. Our free delivery service operates Monday-Friday. If any cake is intended for the weekend, it will easily keep fresh if delivered to your address a day or two prior. We created 500 cakes in the shape of double beds for the travel lodge, for a special celebration. Cakes were delivered to multiple locations UK wide for all staff to enjoy.

The Brilliant Bakers fruitcake is the same recipe used and developed by Tim’s father 60 years ago, when he won three years running Gold medals for Wedding cakes at International Competition. Now nothing has changed with this recipe, except that now it is strictly top secret. Father’s Day is celebrated in the UK on the third Sunday of every June, so this year, we will be celebrating our father figures this weekend, on the 17th of June.
